I know it has been um, 3 months since I've posted an update.
Tyler just had his like 10th set of ear tubes placed last week. He is struggling with math and reading at school so we are meeting next week to discuss some further testing to get him some additional help at school. I gather there is a good chance he might have a learning disability. It would not surprise me if he does because it was to be expected based on his brain damage from birth. In all actuality he is doing remarkably well. He caught up on many of his developmental delays he had his first 4 years of life and now to switch over to a possible learning disability is huge improvement in my opinion. This month marks the 3rd year for having his cecostomy and I have to say his bowel is working great just as long as we stay on track with the flushing.
So far this school year Tyler has continued to enjoy the art aspect of school. I don't think he will be doing much performing this year besides the christmas thing each class does. Performing is just not his nitch, I think visual arts is. Looks like some of the art gene in my side of the family(his mom) has been passed down to him. I know I am definitely looking forward to what the future has instore for him.
Now the picture above was made by me but Tyler helped me take a picture of it. If he had more patience he would be able to make one too. Maybe I will let him create his own melted crayon art too.
