Well yesterday we traveled to Dr Allshouse's satellite office about an hour and a half away. The drive there and back wasn't too bad, however due to the long day Tyler had to miss the entire day of school. I had an x-ray taken here at home and brought the films with us. At first glance I thought it did not look good but what I thought I saw ended up being gas. He still had some stool in the colon but the doctor said it didn't look too bad. He would like us to increase the castile soap in the flush to give that extra push his colon might need.
Overall both Tyler and I really liked Dr Allshouse. Tyler was happy the entire appointment and even asked a question he had about his button, he wasn't shy at all. Dr Allshouse really took his time with us answering my questions, going over medical history and explaining things to me. We never felt rushed in the appointment and it was a great visit. By the time the appointment was over I realized he spent about an hour with us which is great and unlike what most doctors would do for patients. I am very happy with him and I know Tyler's care will be in good hands.
Next follow up is in 3 to 6 months which we might end up having to go to his regular office which is a 3 hour drive one way. I am gonna try to schedule that during a school break so Tyler doesn't have to miss school if possible.
