Yesterday, June 28th, Tyler officially turned 7 years old! Wow, the time the past 7 years has just flown by fast. We had a small party with family, since he already had a party with friends earlier in the month. He got some great gifts & it is so funny to see his face light up with excitement opening each one.
Not too much to report, health wise he is doing great. We will be going to the ear doctor today to get a look at his tonsils (there is a good chance they will need to come out). Later this week we are just doing some routine testing for any seizure activity, it is called an EEG. This will be a 24 hour test but the good part is after they get all the items attached to his head & wrap it we can go home and do our normal stuff and then come back the next day for them to take it off. I am curious what the test might reveal, as Tyler does not sleep well at night & often tosses and turns (the neurologist said this could be seizure activity). So please just think of him & pray the test will show us some answers as to his sleeping issues. If it is not seizures it could be some mild sleep apnea related to the enlarged tonsils. So either way I hope we can figure it out and solve the problem.
Tyler has 2 big trips planned for July. First he will be going to a train meet with Daddy & grandpa( and sister and grandma too) in Oregon. They are driving so this will be his first long car trip and longest time away from Mommy. I will be at home having some R & R time, as I do not travel well by car. Then later in July, Tyler, sister & Mommy will be flying to Arizona to go to our annual conference (Daddy will be staying home for his R & R). Then school starts up mid August for 2nd grade!
So please just pray for answers on the test results, doctor appts & safe travels for our family!
